2. What Foods Are Low In Lectin?

If you wish to pursue a low-lectin or lectin-free diet, you will want to eat the foods which contain the least amount of lectins possible. While nearly all vegetables and fruits have some lectins, some have much more than others. You will want to focus your dietary efforts on low-lectin vegetables such as onions, mushrooms, broccoli, bok choy, cauliflower, leafy greens like collard greens, pumpkin, squash, sweet potato, carrot, and asparagus. You can have fruit but should avoid out-of-season varieties. Ideal fruits are berries, citrus fruit, pineapple, cherries, and apples. Fats that are part of the low-lectin diet include olive oil, avocado, butter, cream, and lard.
