Feeling dizzy or even a bit wobbly are strong signs of a medical issue when a woman may be experiencing a deficiency in the vitamin B12. Some people can become dizzy simply by standing up or walking up a short flight of steps. These symptoms can prove to be quite dangerous, often causing severe falls that may lead to even more serious injuries, as a direct result.
In a recent study, patients who were brought into an emergency room setting had their B12 levels tested against volunteers who were showing no signs of dizziness or vertigo. When the results were in, the patients seeking medical help were shown to have levels of B12 that were up to 40% lower than the levels of those volunteers in comparison. So, it is easy to see how dropping levels of vitamin B12 can cause serious symptoms, warning that further testing should be done to get to the root of the problem.
