Diabetes itself is a condition where the body has problems processing blood sugars (glucose) like it should. Most of us know or are related to somebody with this condition as it is fairly common. 1. Increased Thirst

This is caused by hyperglycemia. When the glucose levels in your body are too high, the body has a hard time keeping itself hydrated. The kidneys are working overtime to rid your body of excess sugars and doing so also removes water from the body. The body needs hydration because without enough it will look for it in other parts of your anatomy like in cells. This will lead to dehydration and its own set of health issues.
