There is no shortage of recommendations and common sense solutions for a heart-healthy diet. Likewise, there are a variety of foods that may slow or prevent Alzheimer’s. In 2015, researchers at Rush University Medical Center presented a diet to combat the degenerative disease. The MIND diet (Mediterranean-DASH Intervention for Neurodegenerative Delay) shows potential for lowering the risk of Alzheimer’s by over 50%. According to the study results, even people who didn’t strictly follow the diet were able to reduce their risk of Alzheimer’s or dementia by roughly a third. It’s likely few people complain about the components of the MIND diet, which include champagne, coffee, and fresh berries.

1. Eat Your Spinach And Other Leafy Greens

Do Popeye proud and eat your spinach, along with other leafy greens such as kale, collard greens, broccoli, turnip and mustard greens. These vegetables offer a wealth of nutrients and are rich in Vitamin A and C. Just six servings a week can make a massive difference in preventing Alzheimer’s.
